So You Need a Loan? Accion San Diego Can Help.
ACCION San Diego is a non-profit organization striving to bring economic opportunity to small business owners in San Diego County. By providing small business loans and support to entrepreneurs like you, our goal is to help create your dreams, provide for your families and have you contribute to our local community. During the last 15 years, ACCION San Diego has helped more than 1,400 business owners just like you.
Our program offers small business loans ranging from $300-$35,000 which can be used for inventory, equipment, raw materials, business start-up or expansion costs and more. The application is online and the process takes approximately 48 hours for our Quick Loan (up to $2,000), and two weeks for our Complete Loan (up to $35,000). ACCION reports to credit agencies so we can help you build a favorable credit history and we can refer you to helpful business training through our community partners.
ACCION San Diego’s lending methodology is unique in that we don’t make loans solely based on revenue, collateral, or credit alone, but also rely on the client’s commitment to the business and references. If you are interested in applying, we do require that you are in San Diego County, you are current on your credit and that you have a source of income which demonstrates that you can repay the loan payments.
Once an ACCION San Diego client, our staff also facilitates an abundance of resources including training referrals to partner organizations, legal and marketing workshops, publicity opportunities on TV, radio and in print media, and one-on-one mentoring relationships. Through our in-house volunteer program, ACCION San Diego recruits and manages volunteers comprising of community professionals and graduate students who volunteer their time and their skills to work hands-on with borrowers who need specific training.
